Bring clean and dry shoes to change into before you go onto the dance floor. Shoes that allow you to slide a little may be a place to start before you are ready to purchase dance shoes. 

You may want to eventually buy dance shoes. We don’t recommend any product, vendor, or store but there are YouTube videos and stores you might find useful when you’re searching for “West Coast Swing dance shoes.”
